Blog Traffic

I didn't blog today until 9pm or so, but I had 20 hits, meaning none of them were me checking up on myself. My average is about 10 a day, including myself...my conclusion is that traffic was up, way up, today, almost 4 fold. This is easy enough to account for: the election results. In times where people look for answers, they seek out community. The news provides stale reporting and boring and repetitious coverage. When people want juice, they hit the blogosphere. It happened post-9/11 and now I see a little surge today. My 20 hits are miniscule in comparison to the hits probably received at the big boys, but to me, it is pretty damn cool.

It'll go back down to normal, I'm sure, but each one of these humps builds up more momentum for the future.
