I'd Go One Better

Swartznegger is proposing a bunch of overhauls in California, one of them against gerrymandering. Wow! No one has had the balls to do that - ever.

Now if he had REAL balls, he'd overhaul the entire populist proposition process which has crippled California politics for the past 25 years. Sadly, this process is the one that got him elected governer.

It does not look like he'll do it, however, because his threats to the legislature are essentially a populist one - "I'll take it to the people," versus what it ought to be - "This isn't right or fair and as your elected representatives, we ought to change it."
