Hair Do's

Kevin insists on writing on hair do's, so here I go. We're watching Pulp Fiction and Samual L refers to "flock of seagulls," a reference to a dorky surfer hair do in the 80s. Speaking of hair and Pulp Fiction, there are some weird moments in the car after Marvin gets shot when Samuel has shit in his hair. Why doesn't he notice he has brain in his hair? Why don't I give a shit when I get my hair cut. Ostensibly, it should have some type of effect on whether girls like me and all that, but I give zero effort and essentially hand over power to my hairdresser when it comes to haircuts. There really isn't much to say about guy's hair. The only interesting development with respect to guy's hair recently is the "messy hair" thing. I always wondered what it was like the first day a guy decided to have messy, indy-rock type hair. Was there an awkward moment walking out of the house? Nervous anticipation if anyone would say anything when they arrived to school or work or whatever?

My biggest hair decision came around sophmore year when I decided to part my hair in the middle. Not much has changed since then......it gets longer and shorter, but nothing of significance. One time, I got buzzed close to the sides in high school and when I wore a hat, it looked like I Kojaked my head....but I didn't, which was even worse. It was a "bowl cut" of sorts.

The mullet used to be fun to make fun of....but no longer. Every choad these days makes mullet remarks. It was funny in 1999 when Anuj and I went around England taking pictures of mullets. I think long hair for dudes these days is cool.

All right, enough said.
