Good News

A linguist has done a research paper on the word: "dude." As an avid user of the word, I'm happy to see it getting scholarly attention. Other words that will deserving of such treatment in the near future: "choad," "chunder," "donkey." My guess is that none of these will be as big as dude, but the dissection of West-coast surfer lingo is of particular interest to me.
