Coming In Handy

Who would have thought my job as a litigation consultant would come in helpful with filmmaking...well, maybe it still doesn't, but as I was putting together a final cost analysis of our 546 film, I whipped through a rather complicated budget versus actual and it looks pretty damn good. I haven't done this time of mundane work with excel for a couple of years now, but I think it's been ingrained into my head how to quickly put these things together and make it work out right. It took me three years of lit consulting to get to that point...hopefully three years of filmmaking will get me to the same state with respect to filmmaking. Cross your fingers.
