I Take It Back

I mistakenly voted for Nadar in 2000. I should have voted for Bush. I can't believe Gore would say this.

Gore said Arabs had been "indiscriminately rounded up" and held in "unforgivable" conditions. The former vice president said the Bush administration was playing into al-Qaida's hands by routinely blocking Saudi visa applications.

He's getting paid enormous amounts by Saudis to come speak to them about America. If Gore had any balls whatsoever he would've marched right into the heart of the Kingdom and said the truth - Muslims living in the United States have more freedom and rights than in the Kingdom you backwards, xenophobic fuck faces.

if Gore cozying up to the Saudis (spineless, to be sure) is the reason you say you shouldn't have voted for him, you're out of luck, because Bush and his crew were and continue to be just as spineless with regard to the Saudis.
So it appears you did vote correctly in 2000.

bush, like ALL american presidents of the past 50 years has cozied up with the saudis. but what gore did is go over to saudi arabia and lie about how poorly muslims are treated in the US. it is a common myth throughout the muslim world that muslims in the US are treated as second class citizens. however, within the US, the muslim communities are generally moderate (compared to say, europe), assimilate well (again, compared to say, europe) and are not treated like second class citizens.

for gore to go over and perpetrate lies that will cause foreign muslims to have more undue distrust and hatred towards us, well it makes me want to vomit. it would not be that different if gore went to iran's holocaust conference and said, "you know, I agree with you guys, 6 million does seem a bit exaggerated."

bush cozies up with the saudis similar to how all past presidents have, which is disgusting as well. but the reason for doing so is because the saudis have the entire world blackmailed by their ability to fluctuate the price of crude oil. why do you think we went into iraq? one of the principal long term reaons is so we don't have to be entirely dependent on saudi oil and cozy up with them indefinitely. something needs to be done about this sick relationship we (and the rest of the west and soon china) has with the saudis.

i mean, saudi princes who espouse a primitive form of islam donate millions to our unversities to have "islamic studies" programs. they offer plush jobs to politicians who vote in their interest after they leave office. they've bought enormous interest in the united states and it handcuffs us in dealing with them - because they are the heart and soul of the radical islamist movement (well, them and the muslim brotherhood).

i mean, we misidentified the insurgency in iraq for almost a year because we were misled by the saudis. we were told time and time again that most of the insurgency was baathists. this conformed to the anti-war position that going into iraq would open up nationalist sentiments...but the fact is that the admittedly smaller number of foreign fighters (ie young, middle class saudis) were the lifeblood of the insurgency, causing 75% of fatalities to the coalition. obviously the saudis had reason to lie, and they insisted on a false number, that the insurgency was made up primarily of baathists...which numerically was true, but effectively misleading. bastards.

and now gore has just become another one of those ex-politicians. that piece of shit.

further, this whole OBL, al queda problem is because the saudis effectively said - leave us alone and we'll give you money...go bomb someone else...america, hint, hint. cause that's all OBL wanted initially, was to get rid of the royal family. he couldn't do it, so he blamed the US (which makes no actual sense, seeing that the government he proposed has never been popular in any country in the world)

what gore did is borderline sedition. and i don't say that lightly. this is like a friend stabbing you in the back. unforgiveable.
