Ex Steely Dan rocker finds a new career as a defense consultant for the DoD, Navy, etc. Man, it would be awesome to have a film career and then transition into another, totally different career later in life.

Many filmmakers are doing other things. In fact, Dean Daley was quoted in a New York Times article a month or so back (which was widely distributed in the blogosphere) which talked about people who are learning film so they can do other things using the tools that they learned.
