Blair
I guess he barely survives. It doesn't look great for him, he may need to step down as PM. As much as I like Blair, he's been around for what, 10 years now. I wouldn't cry if he and Britian moved on...although I still think he's the most decent world leader.

you like blair?
nobody likes blair
they've got to have Diebold machines in the uk or something -- he's less popular there than bush is here (ie, here roughly equal numbers of people like and hate bush -- there, roughly everyone seems to talk shit about him)
i've never trusted the masses all that much...and everyone in britian talks shit about everything. despite his apparent unpopularity, his is the first labor party to maintain the prime ministership for 3 terms in a row.
maybe it's just me, but if the loony left and radical right hate blair, it makes me like him even more.
people from all parts of the spectrum hate him -- they saw him as bush's bitch, and felt that his 'pro america' policy dimished the 'power' of the british empire.
or some bs like that.
it was great seeing you in la.
i wonder why blair is considered bush's bitch, but chirac and shroeder aren't considered saddam's bitches. just a question, of course.
well, blair was taking leads from bush, and echoing every word he said.
chirac and schroeder had their own agendas, they weren't playing bitch to sadaam, but the operative idea is that they had their own agendas. They didn't want the us to get iraqs oil -- and they wanted to push turkey towards the eu, so their not as succeptable to US influence on the oil market
or so i heard
blair agreeing with bush doesn't make him his bitch. in the run up to the iraq war, blair had the most convincing public statements in favor of the war...whereas bush mostly sounded like he always does - bumbling.
read blair's speech he gave to the us congress in summer 2003 or this transcript of an interview

this guy is smart as nails and knows what he's doing...not some puppy dog who follows bush around.
