Just Ebb and Flow, Man

Everyone is asking why the big race is so close.

Personally, this feels similar to the question - why the Lakers are so close during the 2nd quarter of game six of the finals.

There is a natural movement towards parity during a game or an election...the leading team starts playing less hard and the behind team knows it needs to up the energy not to get blown out. Plus, the refs, fans, and press all want a tighter race and so it goes...it feels close...but my bet is still that come November, we'll be crowning the Celtics champs. And it won't be close.
