I'm always so confused when teams start treating these guys as if they're guilty long before there's ever been a trial. What about innocent til proven guilty??
The NE Patriots can, of course, do what they want - but in the eyes of the law the guy is still innocent.
That being said - I'm not looking to get an OJ Simpson jersey.
yeah, innocent til proven guilty is just in the eyes of the law. employers can let people go (although they are bound by certain employment laws) - that has nothing to do with criminal stuff. you'd be pissed if a guy you paid 40 mil to play football went and shot someone (or was with people who shot someone) and got arrested, went to jail, and couldn't work. doesn't seem to me this person still deserves the paycheck.
