Best Documentary Short Ever

A great filmmaker figured out the 49er-Seatle game was rigged.

Incontrovertible evidence.

Football has become so bloated with rules and regulations it's impossible for mistakes not to be made. Add to that two very good teams and generally the deciding factor/s for victory are going to be incremental not colossal, putting increased focus and weight on any infraction or mistake. It almost takes the fun out of the sport.

It reminds me of the old Bull Durham adage about getting one extra hit a week. One small little change over the course of a week separates the mediocre from the legendary. Now take that week and cram it into one football game that has far more rules and moving parts than baseball and it seems impossible to say for sure which team is actually better.

How long before the money involved prompts teams to take officials or the NFL to court after a game finishes on some kind of gross negligence charge that robbed a team (like the niners) of millions of dollars of additional revenue they would have earned from going to the superbowl. It's all disgusting.
The answer: watch more soccer.
