Neo Confederates

I never bought any of the civil war talk but I now witness Democratic politicians routinely arguing to not obey the law. The basic concept of a sanctuary city is an excuse not to obey immigration law. Why they do this, I have absolutely no clue whatsoever. Who dreams of a borderless, lawless world? Psychopaths.

My question now - since cities feel entitled to not follow Federal law, will they also not follow state law? Newsom wants to pass this housing bill and LA / Karen Bass is against it. If he signs it, will she obey it? Why? Why not? How is it any different than the immigration law and enforcement?
