Q: If Michael Jackson's memorial had ended with him jumping out of the casket and performing "Thriller," would that have been the best moment in television history? I think so.

That's pretty much the best thing written about this whole MJ thing.

Yeah, that would have been awesome. If MJ's death was just a publicity stunt, it would have been the greatest publicity stunt in history (especially with him singing "Thriller").
The only thing that would be better is if he actually rose from the dead as a zombie and started performing "Thriller". Either way, it would have been win-win.
Instead... he's just dead. That's too bad.
