In general, might much of the more ridiculous forms of activism we see out there simply be dumb, idle, mediocre rich people trying to find something to do with their money? Not joking here - all the heirs and heiresses and trophy wives and dumb cousins who dumb-fucked their way into too much money being manipulated by NGO-do gooder careerists to part with their hard-inherited cash?
